I’m Alexandra, a designer based in Leeds, UK.
I’ve lived in Romania, Colombia, Thailand, Australia, Zimbabwe, and now the UK, so understanding how we all learn, interpret, communicate (and miscommunicate) is very wrapped up in what makes me... me!
My practice explores visual communication through a holistic, sensitive and research-led approach. My focus has been predominantly on branding, typography and print, but my interest in design doesn’t stop there... ask me about film or nuclear semiotics — I will never shut up.
Beyond my work, I have a love for growing seeds into plants much taller than I am... and then cooking, eating, or preserving the results. I'm an avid reader and have a love-hate relationship with social media and the online world. I love mountains, marine environments and cetaceans, especially. I’ve recently gone from being an overzealous pottery shopper to a pottery maker in training —sometimes, if you can’t find the thing, you make it yourself. I like words and I can talk a lot.
